What is the shelf life of the cheeses?


All cheeses have a minimum 'best before' of 2 weeks from date of purchase.




What is the best way to store them?


We recommend storing your cheeses in baking parchment in a plastic (preferably airtight) container in the fridge. If the container develops condensation, simply wipe with a paper towel. It is best to replace the baking parchment once a week. You can also freeze all cheeses (except the Kumarabert varieties) in a plastic container. We recommend not freezing in baking parchment as it is likely to stick to the cheese. Wrap in aluminium foil if necessary. These are live products, so it is natural for them to develop mould if not stored correctly or if they are older than 2 weeks.




Which cheeses can I eat if I have a soy allergy?


Our Tasty Cheddar range, Aged Cheddar range and Kumarabert variety are all soy free. However, all cheeses are processed in the same (although throughly cleaned) equipment, so cross-contamination may occur on the rare occasion. Due to this, if you have a life-threatening soy allergy, our cheeses may not be suitable for you.




Which cheeses can I eat if I have a gluten allergy?


While all our cheeses are wheat-free, our Tasty Cheddar range, Aged Cheddar range and Kumarabert range all contain oat flour. Under the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code, oats are not considered gluten-free. Our Chive & Mint Basil Tofu Ricottas are gluten-free. However, all cheeses are processed in the same (although throughly cleaned) equipment, so cross-contamination may occur on the rare occasion. Due to this, if you have a life-threatening gluten allergy, our cheeses may not be suitable for you.




Which cheeses can I eat if I have a nut allergy?


All of them! We pride ourselves on offering nut-free plant-based cheese. Our products are also made in a nut-free facility, so cross-contamination will never occur.

How long will I have to wait for my cheeses to arrive?


All our cheeses are handmade to order and are hand-wrapped and packaged for your order. All orders are delivered via overnight perishable courier and are dispatched on either Tuesdays only each week. If your order includes a cheese and we do not currently have any in stock, you may need to allow a week for your order to be delivered (10 days for Kumarabert varieties).




Which cheeses can I eat if I have an allium allergy?


Our Kumarabert varieties are allium-free. However, all cheeses are processed in the same (although throughly cleaned) equipment, so cross-contamination may occur on the rare occasion. Due to this, if you have a life-threatening allium allergy, our cheeses may not be suitable for you.





Shipping information

When will my parcel be shipped?


We courier parcels on Tuesdays only. All orders placed before 5pm Monday will be sent out the next day - providing we have the items in stock. As our cheeses are handmade to order, if we do not have your item in stock, it will be sent out the following week. Please contact us if you have any queries. If you require your parcel to be delivered on a certain day, please contact us to arrange this. We cannot deliver on the weekends.




When will I receive my parcel?


All parcels are delivered via overnight courier. If you live rurally, your parcel may take a little longer to be delivered (1-3 business days) due to the unpredictable nature of rural courier deliveries.




What happens when my parcel is delivered?


Your parcel will be marked with 'Authority to Leave' so it will be left either in your letterbox or on your doorstep. Once delivered, we cannot accept responsibility for parcels that are unattended to by you. If you wish to sign for your parcel, please request this using the notes section at the checkout. If you are not home to sign for your parcel, it will be redirected back to your nearest depot and you will need to collect it as soon as possible. Again, we cannot take responsibility for unattended parcels.




What if I live at a rural address?


Please select RURAL Perishable Shipping at the checkout if you live at a rural address (any address with RD) - this ensures we can add extra ice and double wrap your parcel so it arrives fresh and chilled. It is likely to take 1-2 business days for your parcel to arrive. If you do not select RURAL Perishable Shipping at the checkout and your address comes up in our system as rural, we will contact you and let you know. IMPORTANT: Please note that all orders to rural addresses are at the buyer's own risk. As our products are perishable and we do not have control over courier deliveries, we cannot take responsibility for orders which arrive late. Please keep an eye on your tracking and let us know at the earliest opportunity if you are concerned about your order arriving late. We will do our best to help by contacting our NZ Courier manager on your behalf, but we cannot guarantee delivery.




Can I track my parcel?


Yes. Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a tracking link via email from our courier company.




How will my cheeses be packaged?


All cheeses except the Kumarabert varieties are sent deep-freeze chilled (unless otherwise requested). This does not affect the quality of the cheese - it ensures your cheeses will arrive fresh and cold. Packages are padded with recyclable insulation and reusable ice gel packs to keep cheeses at optimum temperature. We recommend refridgerating for a few hours on arrival.
